:: March CDP Theme Day: Aging

When I look at this victrola I can’t help remembering how music listening has changed the last 50+ years. It’s then that I remember that time has passed for me too. This photo was taken in July 2013, at a Night of the Museums when the Museum of Art of Pampulha had a special exhibition reviving the old days when it was a casino.
The first of the month is theme day for the City Daily Photo community (CDP) and this month it is ‘Aging’. Visit City Daily Photo theme day page to view many interpretations of the theme.

  1. Vinyl is starting to make a comeback in some places, though it was cassettes, mostly, and then CDs, when I was growing up. I must have been ten or so when I first heard the term eight track, and those certainly didn’t last long.

  2. I started with 78rpm, then 33 and 45rpm. For some time I heard about 16rpm but never saw any record. Then came the cassettes and the rest of the story you know…
